I am a tax attorney by training and have spent the last two decades advising wealthy families on estate, financial and investment matters. I have extensive expertise in the areas of estate and tax planning, asset allocation and manager selection as well as family governance, succession planning, philanthropy, trust and family office management.

I began my career with Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver and Jacobson in New York City before joining JPMorgan as their Chief Tax Strategist within the Private Bank. I went on to start and lead the estate and financial planning efforts for Goldman Sachs and then Lehman Brothers. After Lehman, I oversaw the Advisory and Family Office teams within Bessemer Trust.

At Withers Consulting Group I am focused on providing consulting services to family owned and closely held businesses, family offices and trustees on issues of succession, operation, compliance and governance. I recognize even families with unlimited resources are unable to obtain truly conflict-free advice, and so I advise families without the limitations of specific investment platforms or pressure of product sales.
